deja vu

"Every street lamp that I pass
Beats like a fatalistic drum
And through the spaces of the dark
Midnight shakes the memory
As a madman shakes a dead geranium."
--T.S. Eliot

This sounds familiar. Real familiar.

Haha, wow! What are the chances of that?

Oh, a hundred to one. Assuming the hundred are people who don't speak English and the one is Haluska.

You can skew the statistics by including an enthusiast every time, but why would you want to?

What are the chances that someone would know that COW POOP MAKES EXCELLENT FIRE STARTER?
One hundred to one, if the hundred are inner city kids and the one is a cowhand who was trapped for three days with the cows in a blizzard.

Statistics are always skewed. They can't NOT be. No one interviews everyone on the planet.

What if the inner city kids happen to like cowboy stories?
